We can call R code from published visualisations but not Python code. We are unable to call a python data function from a published visualisation.

I would like to add possibility to add an icon for custom data function into f(x) flyout. At the moment there are icons for native analytics and visual Mods. Having that for data functions is a logical next step.

Allow Open Source R / Microsoft R Open as an engine in TIBCO Spotfire Analyst (and TSSS)

Most important benefit is package management and extensibility. Having two R installations on the same machine is an inconvenience.
